Job Overview The Cloud Engineer (Automations/DevOps) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions to support our organization’s operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, and automation in a DevOps environment.
Outline of Duties and Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure resources.
Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines used for deploying cloud infrastructure resources and services.
Architect and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud environments to support business-critical applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cost-effective cloud architectures that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure.
Implement best practice for cloud security, compliance, and data protection.
Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to improve efficiency and optimize costs.
Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and cloud trends. Recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
2 - 4 years of experience working in cloud engineering, with a focus on designing and managing cloud infrastructure.
Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
Strong proficiency in one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep/ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCi, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of networking, storage, computing, and security principles in cloud environments.
Deep knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.
Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
And most of all, a self-driven aptitude to learn new things in a high paced environment with all technologies at your disposal.
Working Conditions The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting and may be fully or partially remote. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
